Directions


Via Emmett: From downtown Boise travel west on State Street, which becomes Highway 44. Continue west through Eagle. 5.4 miles after crossing Eagle Road, turn north on Highway 16 and proceed to Emmett. Turn right at the third stoplight onto Washington Avenue and follow through downtown Emmett. Continue straight on Washington Avenue out of town. At the intersection with Black Canyon Road, continue straight on what is now Van Duesen Road. The road becomes dirt and forks, and you may take either fork as the two roads merge later. 1 mile past the Van Duesen Ranch, turn left onto Sucker Creek Road. Follow Sucker Creek Road 5.1 miles until it ends at the intersection with Big Willow Road. You will see Butte Lodge above you to your right. Turn right onto a private road and follow to the first road on the left. Turn left and continue straight to Butte Lodge. While checking in, temporary parking is permitted by the lodge. Parking for longer term activities such as dinning and hunting is available below the lodge in the graveled areas.

Via Interstate 84: From Boise take 1-84 West to Exit #13 (Black Canyon). At the top of the exit ramp, turn right and proceed down a small hill. At the stop sign, turn left onto Sand Hollow Road. Continue on Sand Hollow Road for 5.7 miles until you reach a stop sign and flashing red light. Proceed straight on what is now Highway 52 West (toward Payette). After crossing the Payette River, go 1.3 miles and turn right on to Big Willow Road. Continue on Big Willow Road for approximately 13 miles (the road will become dirt shortly after passing a feedlot) until the intersection with Dry Creek Road. Turn right (there is a group of mailboxes on the right) and continue on Big Willow Road for 1 mile until it ends at the intersection with Sucker Creek Road. You will see Butte Lodge above you to your left. Go straight on a private road and follow to the first road on the left. Turn left and continue straight to Butte Lodge. While checking in, temporary parking is permitted by the lodge. Parking for longer term activities such as dinning and hunting is available below the lodge in the graveled areas.
